Effective March 2025, drivers using the Panapass electronic toll system who attempt to pass through toll booths without sufficient funds will incur a $10 fine. This initiative aims to reduce the outstanding debt of $24,399,032 on the North and South corridors, which includes $7,661,520 owed by private sector users and $7,314,120 by public sector users. **Key Points:** - **Fines for Insufficient Balance:** Drivers attempting to use toll roads with an insufficient Panapass balance will incur a $10 fine. This measure encourages users to maintain adequate funds in their accounts to facilitate smooth travel. - **Payment Arrangements:** To assist those with outstanding debts, the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) is offering payment arrangements. From November 15 to January 15, 2025, drivers can settle their debts with an initial payment of 10% of the outstanding amount, provided the debt is $100 or more. **Recommendations for Drivers:** - **Regular Account Monitoring:** Ensure your Panapass account has sufficient funds before using toll roads. Regularly check your balance to avoid fines. - **Utilize Payment Arrangements:** If you have existing debts, take advantage of the ATTT's payment arrangement fair to reduce outstanding amounts and avoid additional penalties. By adhering to these guidelines, drivers can contribute to the efficient operation of Panama's toll systems and avoid unnecessary fines.   ## Publicaciones Relacionadas [![](https://www.residepanama.com/hs-fs/hubfs/RP%20-%20Obtaining%20Panapass%20in%20Panama.jpg?height=500&name=RP%20-%20Obtaining%20Panapass%20in%20Panama.jpg)](https://www.residepanama.com/en/reside-panama-blog/how-to-obtain-your-panapass-in-panama?hsLang=en) ## [How to obtain your Panapass in Panama? | Updated 2023](https://www.residepanama.com/en/reside-panama-blog/how-to-obtain-your-panapass-in-panama?hsLang=en) Panapass is Panama’s electronic toll collection system for a few roads such as the Corridor Norte...
