# Panama Jazz Festival 2025: A Celebration of Music, Culture, and Education

The Panama Jazz Festival is set to celebrate its 22nd edition from January 13 to 18, 2025, in Panama City. Founded in 2003 by Grammy-winning pianist and composer Danilo Pérez, the festival has grown into a premier international event, attracting over 500,000 attendees from more than 50 countries.

This year's festival is dedicated to Princess Orelia Benskina, a distinguished Panamanian dancer and choreographer renowned for her performances in Harlem and contributions to Afro-Caribbean and Afro-American culture.

The festival offers a diverse lineup of activities, including:

- **Concerts**: Featuring both international and local jazz artists, the performances will take place at venues such as the Teatro Ateneo.
- **Jam Sessions**: Providing spontaneous musical collaborations among artists, these sessions are scheduled throughout the week.
- **Educational Clinics**: Free music clinics conducted by renowned musicians and educators will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ciudad del Saber, offering participants the opportunity to enhance their musical skills.
- **Auditions**: Serving as a platform for aspiring musicians to showcase their talents to representatives from prestigious music institutions.

The festival's educational component is a cornerstone of its mission, aiming to improve lives through high-quality musical experiences.
